OK- Well I will admit I drove there to go shopping! And while I was impressed with a lot of what I saw, I walked around the entire mall, went to so many stores I cannot even count and DID NOT BUY ANYTHING! I guess I am so used to our Post Oak Mall in College Station reasonable prices that spending $80 on a shirt that is 65% off just because of the tag on it was not my cup of tea! There were many neat stores, and some really great deals! Most everyone would probably find what they like and so it is worth the drive! Maybe one day I will not be so small town about my shopping, but I just cannot help it! Living in Bryan-College Station- or even Texas for that matter- is a great thing because our prices are not so high that you choke at the sight of the tag! However, when these name brand outlet stores come to town and people can get a taste of New York they jump on it. Not me- the line to get into the Coach Store for 40% off purses was about 50 people long! I won't wait that long for a purse or anything! I will say though- don't let all the cars scare you! I went there 3 times actually- the first two with only a few minutes to spare on the way home from Houston so I just kind of checked out what they had there. The third I saw the whole mall and really each time I had a front row parking spot- and no real issues with lines or crowds except for the Coach store. So don't be afraid- everyone should go once! But you won't see me coming out with bags full! I will go right here in the Brazos Valley to our local economy and give back! Save on gas, give back to our Aggieland Community and spend less!!! Shopping in Bryan-College Station may not be for everyone, but for the small town woman in me- I am right at home!

I agree! Bryan College Station and the cities around are all booming with great new businesses, oil and gas development and real estate development. The way College Station is building south who knows - maybe College Station, Navasota and the new shopping mall will all merge together.

I frequently (almost weekly) drive to Houston from Bryan-College Station and pass this mega-high-wattage-outlet mall. Each time I pass by, the parking lot is full, to the rim. I'm talking, policemen directing traffic because the lot holds its maximum capacity. Cars, SUVs rather, wait in line just to enter the lot.

And each time I'm driving by, there is some report on the radio saying how awful our national economy is. Question: if our economy is so unstable, how is it that this many people can pack a high-end outlet mall week after week? There's money coming from somewhere. Let's not allow the media to control/create a false perception for the consumer.

Kind regards,
