Where Am I? –A “Little” Perspective

family-pictures-oct-dec2006-002.jpgMy family and I were all in the car to go out to eat supper when my son, who is 4 years old said, “Mommy, can I pick where we eat tonight?” My husband responded by telling him that if he wanted to make a suggestion, we would consider it. My son’s response was: “Well, I usually like eating at Old McDonalds, but today I would like to either eat at 1) The Scary Plate Place, 2) The Parrot place or 3) The Fire Place.”

Because he is my son, I knew right away where he wanted to go eat. Only speaking of Restaurants in College Station, can you see with the rational of a 4 year old and guess where my son wanted to eat dinner? 1st one to guess all 3 places correctly wins a prize! And, come on, you don’t have to be an expert on all the unique areas in town to figure this one out!

  1. Susan Hilton

    1 –
    2 – Parrot Ice
    3 – Chicken Oil

    So am I close?

  2. Raylene Lewis

Nope. Sorry. Chicken Oil is in Bryan NOT college Station. Didn’t know we had a parrot Ice in town! Chicken Oil Does have a big Fireplace, but my clue said Fire Place not fireplace. :) Keep guessing!

  3. Jason Johnston

    1. ?
    2. Ninfa’s
    3. Fish Daddy’s

    Am I closer?

  4. Raylene Lewis

YES! Nifa’s is #2 The Parrot Place! Which also says my son LOVES Mexican food!!! #3 – Nope ( Not a Fireplace but a place with fire…a FIRE Place. :)
    Keep Guessing!!!

  5. Jason Johnston

Susan and I seem to be the only ones guessing. Now that I’ve given everyone 1/3 of the answer, I will guess that #3 might be Boston’s. I think that’s the most likely restaurant in that development where you would take kids.

  6. Jack Anding

Okay, I’ll put my 2 cents worth in.
I think the Scary plate place is On the Border.
    Parrot place is Ninfa’s.
Fire place is tough but I’ll go with Rosie’s Cantina.

  7. Jason Johnston

#1 Still don’t know about the “Scary Plate Place”
    #2 Ninfa’s
    #3 Abuelo’s (…my son LOVES Mexican food!!!)

Any hints for #1? Does best 2 out of 3 win it?

  8. Raylene Lewis

Jack got number 1!! The scary plate place is Definitely On the Border!! Ever looked at their wall of plates? Great work Jack!!!

Ok! So 2 down 1 more to go! I’ll give you a hint. The 3rd place in College Station is NOT Mexican food, and every time you eat there you Definitely see fire!

1st one to respond with all 3 correct wins a prize!!!!

  9. Jason Johnston

    1. On The Border
    2. Ninfa’s
    3. Boston’s

  10. Jack Anding

    Let’s try this again.

    1. On The Border
    2. Ninfa’s
    3. Haiku Sushi & Hibachi Grill

  11. Susan Hilton

Ok I read them all and I want to know who won – I also think Jack should have to have just 1 answer in #3 so if he guesses wrong I can swoop in and win…
    :)

  12. Raylene Lewis

Jack you’re on the right track, but we don’t eat at Haiku. We prefer newer establishments…that leaves only one other possible place in town! Who will get it first? It is a race to the finish!

  13. Jason Johnston

    #1 On The Border
    #2 Ninfa’s
    #3 Atami Steak & Sushi

  14. Raylene Lewis

Jason Is the Winner! i will get you your prize Mon. Thanks for Playing!

  15. Jason Johnston

Thanks for the hints and thanks to Jack for answering #1. I don’t think I would have ever gotten that one!
